What type’s footage does Fort Films have in its library?
The Fort Films HD Stock Footage library contains footage of all major South African cities, including aerial footage and key 2010 World Cup landmarks. It also contains footage of African culture and lifestyle, including township life and soccer footage. Furthermore, it contains an extensive library of African wildlife and landscapes footage. Fort Films has rolled camera in all 9 provinces of South African and its library continues to grow rapidly.

Can Fort Films produce footage according to a specific brief?
Fort Films productions and media services include filming content to a specific brief. Fort Films can  produce exclusive original South African content to satisfy any brief imaginable. So if you require a shot of someone walking up Table Mountain or kicking a ball in Soweto Township, we’ll go out and shoot it – if we don’t have it in our library already!

What other services do Fort Films offer in 2010?
Fort Films offers production and media services to non-rights holders to the 2010 World Cup. We can take care of all planning, research, logistics and travel arrangements in South Africa. We also offer HD broadcast facilities, satellite uplinks and post-production facilities.

What about television commercials, music and stills?
Fort Films has a division that handles all commercials servicing and productions in South Africa. We can also arrange stills photography productions with some of South Africa’s leading photographers.  If you require music licensing Fort Films will handle all music licensing and production in South Africa.

Is it possible to purchase both excusive and non-exclusive content?
Fort Films sells and licenses both exclusive and non-exclusive content. All content contained in the Fort Films HD Stock Footage Library can be licensed either exclusively or non-exclusively.  All license information is contained in the license agreement between the licensee and the licensor on a case by case basis.

Does Fort Films have full HD content in its stock footage library?
Fort Films boasts an impressive collection of full HD 1080p, 720p and standard definition content. Fort Films also offers the service of shooting content on 2K and 4K if required.

What is the cost of this footage and how is it packaged?
All content can be licensed and sold in clips of 15 to 60 seconds. All clips are licensed individually and is often bought in a 20 seconds or 1 minute bundles. Prices vary greatly depending on the format of the content, the length of the clip, the length of the license period, the type of content and the whether it is an exclusive or non-exclusive license.

Do I have to pay royalties on the content that I purchase?
Fort Films owns the full copyright to all footage in its library and the purchaser does not have to pay any royalties. Fort Films has made every effort to obtain actor and property release forms where required to do so.

What is the length of the licence period agreement?
The Fort Films licence agreement period states a minimum 1 year license agreement and the agreement will renew on a year-to-year basis unless terminated by either party by written notice 60 days before the expiration period.
